FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Everything you've been wondering about our shop, our process, and how we work.
Every repair is different, so we give you a firm quote before we start any work. Diagnostics are free for most issues (in-store). For common repairs like screen replacement, battery swap, or virus removal, you'll get a flat price — no hidden fees, no surprise upsells. We start most repairs under $100.
Same-day service is available on most repairs. Simple fixes like battery swaps, SSD upgrades, and virus removals are usually done within a few hours. Complex repairs like logic board work or data recovery may take 1–3 business days. We'll give you a realistic timeline when you drop it off.
We guarantee our work — if we can't recover your data from a physical drive, there's no charge for the attempt. On logical recoveries (deleted files, formatted drives, corrupted partitions), our success rate is very high. On physically damaged drives (clicking, seized bearings), we'll give you an honest assessment of the odds before we start.
Yes — we fix both. Macs (all models: MacBook Pro/Air, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, Mac Studio) and PCs from every major manufacturer: Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Microsoft Surface, and custom builds. If it runs MacOS, Windows, or even Linux — we've worked on it.
Walk-ins are always welcome. If you have a complex issue or a tight deadline, giving us a heads-up by phone helps us prioritize. But if your computer just died and you're standing outside — come on in. We'll fit you in.
Yes. All parts and labor come with our standard warranty — 90 days on most repairs, and 1 year on parts we supply and install. If something goes wrong with the repair itself, bring it back and we'll make it right at no charge.
We offer remote support for software issues (virus removal, setup, troubleshooting) via TeamViewer or Quick Assist — just call us and we'll walk you through the connection. For hardware issues in the New Westminster area, we can sometimes arrange drop-off or pickup — give us a call to discuss.
Absolutely. We take data privacy seriously. Your drive is never accessed beyond what's needed for the repair. We don't browse files, copy data, or share anything. If you're concerned about sensitive data, you can remove the drive before bringing it in (we can advise you on that). For data recovery jobs specifically, we work from a bit-for-bit clone — your original drive stays untouched.
Yes — we carry refurbished MacBooks, iMacs, and Mac Minis, as well as certified pre-owned Dell, Lenovo, and HP business laptops. We also build custom PC desktops for home, office, and gaming. Every machine comes with a clean OS install, a full hardware test, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
We accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Payment is due when the work is complete — no deposits required on most repairs.
